UPLAND, Ind. – The Lady Tigers traveled to Hoosier State to take on the Taylor University Trojans. With Prieto undoubtedly sharing the wealth and the Tigers' defense taking control to hold the Trojans scoreless, Campbellsville took the match, 4-0.
The Lady Tigers were on the hunt as they struck fast with a goal from Sarah Liljeborg, assisted by Marta Prieto at the 12-minute mark. Both teams' defense kept the other scoreless until the 34th minute when Lady Tiger Bethin Boyle aided a goal by Prieto. Multiple Tigers had shots but were unsuccessful. Concluding the first half, the Lady Tigers led 2-0.
Campbellsville opened the second half, firing out the gates and belittling the Trojan's hopes of creating a game with a goal by Amelie Matheis, assisted by Lina Berrah. Though Taylor had attempted shot after shot, the Tigers' defense and a save from Milly Shakespeare allowed Campbellsville to hold control. Halfway through the second half, the Trojan's goalie saved a shot attempt from Merel Houweling. Liljeborg and Prieto were the dynamic duo, with Prieto aiding Liljeborg in the fourth and final goal in the 88th minute.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, September 14th, traveling back to Indiana to face off against the Oakland City Mighty Oaks. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET.

- Liljeborg (two), Boyle (one), and Matheis (one) were all able to find the back of the net with three of the goals being assisted by Prieto.
- Campbellsville offensive pressure showed, with the Tigers outshining the Trojans in shots (20-15) and shots on goal (six compared to five).
- The Tigers hold an overall 2-1 record against Taylor University. Their first matchup resulted in the same outcome: Campbellsville beat the Trojans 4-0 in 2015.
