BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Ahead of the Mid-South Conference Tournament, the conference office announced its 2025 regular-season awards, honoring six Campbellsville University Tigers for their outstanding play.
Freshman setter
Kati Vest was named to the All-MSC First Team, while
Emily Aabye,
Elif Akcivi,
Brooke Hager,
Sophie Hill, and
Maddie Pennington earned Second Team All-MSC honors.
Vest earned her First Team selection as the quarterback of the Tigers' potent offense. She orchestrated an attack that hit .224 on the season, amassing 1,049 assists for an average of 9.04 per set. Vest also proved to be a versatile all-around player, recording 125 kills, 231 digs, and 36 service aces.
The Second Team selections feature the core of the Tigers' balanced attack and dominant defense. The team's defensive anchor, Pennington, earned her honor by leading the Tigers in both digs (470) and service aces (41).
The team's primary six-rotation attacker, Akcivi received recognition after leading the team with 268 total kills while also ranking second in aces (30) and third in digs (182).
A powerful outside hitter, Aabye was honored for leading the team in kills per set at 3.03 and finishing second in total kills (206).
One of the most efficient middles in the conference, Hager earned her spot by posting 192 kills on a staggering .426 hitting percentage.
The Tigers' dominant net presence, and reigning MSC Defensive Player of the Week, Hill was named to the Second Team after leading the team with 113 total blocks while also contributing 176 kills.
The #3 seed Tigers, with six All-Conference selections, will begin their postseason journey on Thursday, facing the #6 seed Freed-Hardeman Lions in the MSC Tournament quarterfinals. The match is set for 7 p.m. ET.
