COLUMBIA, Ky. – In a "Battle of Highway 55" that was far closer than the final score indicated, the Campbellsville University Tigers fell in three agonizingly tight sets (23-25, 23-25, 19-25) to the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders on the road Tuesday night.

- In the second set, the Tigers were two points away from victory with a 23-20 lead, but Lindsey Wilson stormed back with the final five points to steal the set 25-23.
- The Tigers' next match will be their regular-season finale, facing off against Cumberland University in Henderson, Tennessee, on Friday, November 7th, at 8 p.m. ET.
The Tigers came out strong and battled the Blue Raiders point-for-point in a tense opening set. Campbellsville built a late 21-18 lead following kills from Madison Farmer and Riley Thorne. However, the Blue Raiders mounted a comeback, tying the set at 22-22 on a Tiger error and a service ace. Lindsey Wilson scored three of the final four points to take the first frame 25-23.
Campbellsville looked poised to even the match in the second set, again building a commanding 23-20 lead. But in a devastating repeat of the first set, the Blue Raiders' offense caught fire, scoring the final five points of the set, including two late kills, to steal the set 25-23 and take a 2-0 match lead.
The momentum from the late comeback carried Lindsey Wilson into the third set. The Blue Raiders built a 15-10 lead early and never looked back. The Tigers were unable to mount a rally, and Lindsey Wilson secured the sweep with a 25-19 win.
