CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The (RV) Lady Tigers hosted the Midway University Eagles on Thursday. Campbellsville closed their second home doubleheader of the season with back-to-back wins, scoring a combined16 runs in the bottom of the third between the games.
GAME ONE: Campbellsville 9, Midway 1
Two Eagle batters began the opening inning striking out. After singling down the left field line, Midway made it to the scoreboard, scoring the game's first run. The end of the top of the first arrived shortly after. Korey Harris and Emily Reynolds opened the bottom of the inning with back-to-back singles. Reynolds stole second base, and Harris made it across the plate before switching sides with the Eagles.
Midway's top of the second inning was short-lived, being put away in a three-up, three-down fashion. Selynna Metcalfe stepped up to the plate with a single to left center. Hannah Hackworth followed with a triple to right center, bringing Metcalfe home for another Lady Tiger run. Hackworth collected Campbellsville's third run of the day with Camille Conkright's sacrifice fly to right field.
Much like the second, the Eagles' top of the third inning was not long, put away in three-up, three-down style. Jessie Daniels scored the game's first home run, bringing Rylee Warner home. After a double to left field by Caroline Pitcock, Metcalfe followed with the second home run of the game, Caroline right behind her across the plate to extend the Lady Tigers' advantage. With another double to center field, Annabelle Knoop brought Hackwroth to score Campbellsville's fifth-inning run. Makayla Hogg closed the third with another run for Campbellsville.
Going into the fourth inning, Midway still struggled to make it past home, once more being put away in a three-up, three-down fashion. Madison Reed and Metcalfe each collected a hit, but neither could score before the end of the inning.
GAME TWO: Campbellsville 10, Midway 1
Both teams' first and second innings were short-lived. Both reached base and collected hits, but neither made it home before the end.
The Eagles scored the game's first run on a passed ball during the top of the third inning. Harris reached base after a hit by pitch followed by Reynolds via walk in the opening of the bottom of the third. Shortly after, Harris scored Campbellsville's first run of the game on a wild pitch. Daniels and Pitcock extended the Lady Tigers' lead with back-to-back home runs. Campbellsville only continued to gain momentum as Jillian Jeffries scored another run on a triple to right field. Ashby Murt scored the Lady Tigers' seventh run on a wild pitch, while Campbellsville was yet to collect an out during the third. Reed and Taylor Windell advanced to second and third base on a wild pitch, and Addisyn McNeil reached first by walking and loading the Lady Tigers' bases. Warner, Reed, and Windell crossed the plate with a double to right center. A sacrifice fly to center field from Daniels put Campbellsville at double digits on the scoreboard with a run by McNeil.
Although Midway collected a single to right field in the opening of the fourth inning, back-to-back outs ended their portion of the inning swiftly. The Lady Tigers' share of the fourth did not last long, being put away quickly in three-up, three-down style.

- For the first game, Metcalfe led Campbellsville with two RBIs and three hits. Daniels matched her with two RBIs and Reynolds and Harris followed with two hits each. For the second game,
- The Lady Tigers surpassed the Eagles in multiple statistical categories in the games. Most significantly during the first game: hits (12-3), at bats (22-17), RBIs (8-1), OPS (1.520-.399), and home runs (2-0). During the second game: hits (7-4), at bats (19-16), RBIs (7-0), and OPS (1.342-.650).
- Campbellsville's history against Midway stretches back to 1994. The Lady Tigers' only loss against the Eagles took place during their first game during that season. Since then, Campbellsville has never lost again. After today's games, the Lady Tigers hold 24 consecutive victories against Midway.
