CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Esports kicked off their 2025 season with four teams entering competition.
Smash lost to Messiah University, 2-0. John Luke Roberts took six stocks with Roy. Dalton Kehm erased four as King K. Rool. Jacob Kehm picked up two with Diddy Kong. Keegham Finn wrapped up with the final stock as Pyra/Mythra.
The trio of Evan Rock, Logan Chatman, and Noah Bishop represented Apex. After the first week of competition, the team earned 18 points, placing them in 21st place out of 42 teams.
Daniel Laguna, for FIFA Varsity, started his campaign with a sweep over Buffalo State University. Daniel won games one and two, 6-3 and 3-2. Sergio Laguna, who played for FIFA Academy, defeated Harrisburg Area CC, 2-0. Sergio scored a combined eight goals and only conceded one.
