SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University men's golf team delivered a strong performance at the LTU Heritage Hill Collegiate, finishing in 2nd place while the women came in 6th. Kevin Latchayya led the Tigers, coming in first individually.
The tournament was held at Heritage Hill Golf Club and hosted by Lawrence Tech University. Campbellsville posted a total score of +34, trailing only the University of the Cumberlands, who finished in 1st place with a score of +14. The Tigers showed consistency over the two rounds, recording an opening round of +18 and improving significantly in the second round with a +2. The Campbellsville University women's golf team finished sixth. The team recorded a total score of +145 (53, 45) across the two rounds of the tournament. The University of the Cumberlands won the tournament with a score of +44.
Latchayya was clutch for the Tigers and finished strong individually, scoring -3 for the tournament and winning overall as the only golfer under even par. Other top performers for Campbellsville included Kobe Hill and Manu Garcia, both finishing with +12. Chase Wilson ended the tournament with a score of +13, and Carson Childress finished with +14. Corentin Hue shot +25.
Conleigh Wilson and
Riley Clark were the top finishers for the Lady Tigers, both shooting +33.
Priya Latchayya followed closely behind with a score of +34.
Hallie Jo Simpson shot +58, and
Kennedy Daughtry finished with +62.
