SPRING ARBOR, Mich.- The #14 Tigers took the road to battle the #9 Aquinas College Saints on Saturday night. Despite collecting avid shots throughout the contest, the score of the match remained low with only one goal from the Saints, defeating Campbellsville, 1-0.

- Oddny Helgadottir led Campbellsville with five shots, followed by Amelie Matheis and Molly Metcalfe with three shots each.
- Despite falling to the Saints, the Tigers surpassed them in a couple of statistical categories: shots (15-9), shots on goal (5-3), and corners (4-3).
- Tonight's game was Campbellsville's fifth game against Aquinas and their fourth consecutive loss against the Saints; the Tigers have not won a game against Aquinas since 2018.
- The Tigers will be back in action on Monday, September 1st to battle the Spring Arbor University Cougars for their second match up in the Great Lakes State beginning at 4 p.m. ET.
The Saints made it to the scoreboard halfway through the first 45 minutes of play. Julia Ogren, Oddny Helgadottir, Amelie Matheis, and Molly Metcalfe all collected agile shots; however, Aquinas' goalie saved their attempts to score, closing the half with the Tigers trailing, 1-0.
Although Campbellsville attempted to retaliate and Aquinas did not falter to try more shots to widen their lead, neither team was able to collect any more successful scoring attempts. At the end of the game, the Tigers were defeated by the Saints, 1-0.
