SPRING ARBOR, Mich.- The #14 Tigers battled the #10 Spring Arbor University Cougars on Monday for their second game up in the Great Lakes State. Campbellsville collected their first ranked victory of the season, defeating Spring Arbor, 3-1.

- Amelie Matheis led Campbellsville with three shots and two shots on goal, followed by Alejandra Rocha with two shots and two shots on goal, Oddny Helgadottir with two shots and one shot on goal, and Bethin Boyle with two shots.Â
- Milly Shakespeare collected five saves throughout the contest.
- Tonight's game was Campbellsville's first win against Spring Arbor, having only played them once before in 2017, with an 8-0 loss.
- The Tigers will be back in action, hosting the Taylor University Trojans on Saturday, September 6th, beginning at 1 p.m. ET.
The Cougars were first on the scoreboard with a goal 13 minutes into the match. Alejandra Rocha quickly retaliated for the Tigers with Campbellsville's first goal of the night, assisted by Laura Munoz, tying the scoreboard. With only five minutes left in the first half, Amelie Matheis scored another Tiger goal, assisted by Julia Ogren, closing the first period of play on the lead, 2-1.
With only 46 seconds into the second half, Fiona Jolly collected another goal for Campbellsville, widening the gap on the scoreboard. Although both teams attempted shot after shot as the contest continued to unfold, neither was able to score again. At the end of the game, the Tigers took the victory, 3-1.
