CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Tigers battled hard at home Thursday night, but fell in four sets to Indiana University Southeast in a match where every set was decided by five points or fewer (27-29, 21-25, 25-20, 24-26).

- The match was played with razor-thin margins. Three of the four sets were decided by the minimum of two points (two went to extra points).
- Libero Maddie Pennington anchored the defense with a spectacular performance, recording a match-high 29 digs.
- Mya Leach (12 kills, 19 digs) and setter Kati Vest (32 assists, 10 digs) posted double-doubles for the Tigers.
- A pivotal 7-0 serving run from Olivia Hellman, including three aces, fueled the Tigers' dominant third-set victory.
- The Tigers will return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET in Gosser Gymnasium, opening Mid-South Conference play against the University of the Cumberlands.
Campbellsville opened the match with the first point from a Riley Thorne kill, but the Grenadiers quickly answered. Despite a string of early hitting errors, the Tigers found life with a kill from Angi Gstach, and the two sides traded points through long rallies. Campbellsville fought to earn three different set points, but IU Southeast took the opener in extra points, 29-27.
In the second, Campbellsville responded with key kills from Thorne and an ace from Mya Leach, while setters chipped in with timely dumps to keep the pace fast. With the score tied at 18, the Grenadiers closed strong to win 25-21.
Facing a must-win, the Tigers came alive in the third. With the set tied 17-17, Olivia Hellman ignited a 7-0 run from the service line with three aces. The stellar defense from libero Maddie Pennington helped Campbellsville pull away for a 25-20 victory.
The fourth set started hot for Campbellsville, who built an early 5-1 lead. The Tigers saw contributions from Kati Vest and Madison Farmer, but IU Southeast rallied to knot it at 24 before sealing the match 26-24.
Riley Thorne paced the offense with a team-high 14 kills. Leach finished with 12 kills and 19 digs, while Vest added 32 assists and 10 digs.
