CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Tigers returned home after an extended stretch away Wednesday afternoon. Campbellsville came ready to play, collecting ace after ace in their three-set sweep of the Union Commonwealth University Bulldogs.

- Campbellsville was dominant from start to finish, earning a 3-0 sweep over Union Commonwealth University at home (25-11, 25-17, 25-13).
- The Tigers' offense was incredibly efficient, posting a .327 team hitting percentage while the defense held the Bulldogs to a -.081 clip.
- Campbellsville showcased a balanced attack with four players recording at least eight kills, led by Elif Akcivi with 12 kills on .333 hitting.
- The service line was a key weapon, as the Tigers used long scoring runs to break open each set, including a 9-0 run from Claire Hammond in the first and an 8-0 run from Libby Erwin in the third.
- Setter Kati Vest orchestrated the offense masterfully, dishing out 41 assists in just three sets of action.
After Union took an early 4-1 lead in the initial set, Campbellsville settled in. The Tigers grabbed momentum during a massive 9-0 run on Claire Hammond's serve, which featured four kills from Mya Leach and two aces from Hammond, to blow the set open at 17-7. From there, the Tigers cruised to a 25-11 first-set win.
In the second, Union struck first, but Campbellsville responded by working the middle attack with Sophie Hill and Madison Farmer. The Tigers pulled away late with a 5-0 run on Elif Akcivi's serve to take the set 25-17.
Determined to close it out, Farmer sparked the Tigers in the third with an early kill, and setter Kati Vest kept all hitters involved. A huge 8-0 serving run by Libby Erwin, who tallied two aces in the streak, combined with Union's errors to give the Tigers a commanding 11-2 lead that sealed the sweep with a 25-13 final.
Akcivi led all players with 12 kills, while Erwin was incredibly efficient with eight kills on a .667 hitting percentage.
The Tigers now look ahead to a weekend tournament at IU Kokomo, where they will face the hosts and Siena Heights University on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. ET.
