FORT WAYNE, Ind. – In a challenging Sunday road matchup, the #17 Campbellsville University women's wrestling team fell 29-13 to #8 Indiana Tech. despite the team loss, the dual included standout individual dominance from #6 Makennah Craft, #10 Gaby Perez, and Brianna Staebler, who kept the Tigers competitive against their top-ranked hosts.

The dual opened at 103 pounds, where freshman #6 Craft gave Campbellsville an immediate spark. Facing #2 Zoey Haney, Craft controlled the pace through two periods, scoring a decisive 8-0 major decision to put the Tigers up early. Craft later continued her streak in exhibition action, pinning #9 Makayla Young in a blistering 42 seconds.

The Warriors responded in the lower weights. At 110 pounds, Indiana Tech's #10 Emma Jones delivered a quick 10-0 technical fall over Kiley McNerney in 1:07. Elizabeth Dollar followed at 117 pounds, securing an 11-0 technical fall over #17 Addison Rudolph to swing the momentum to the home team.

The Tigers faced stiff competition in the middle of the lineup. At 124 pounds, #17 Addison Messerly fell to #2 Rose Kaplan via a fall in 3:00. The Warriors extended their lead at 131 pounds, where #15 Andrea Hernandez pinned #17 Olivia Messerly in 4:44, followed by #16 Kinnley Smith earning an 8-0 decision over Lauren Walton at 138 pounds.

Campbellsville stopped the run at 145 pounds with a gritty performance from #10 Perez. In a back-and-forth battle with #11 Hayden Newberg, the match ended tied 4-4, but Perez earned the hard-fought decision victory on criteria.

The Warriors added points at 160 pounds as #10 Bo Geibe claimed a 15-1 technical fall over Claire Avery, and Teagan Aurich added a 4-1 decision over #19 Desi Lee at 180 pounds.

However, the Tigers closed the dual on a high note. At 207 pounds, Brianna Staebler wasted no time, flattening Ellen Ashabranner for a pin in just 44 seconds to finalize the score at 29-13.
