WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — The (RV) Lady Tigers took the road to the University of the Cumberlands to open the season at the Patriots Classic. Campbellsville dominated Northwestern Ohio in a 12-1 onslaught before enduring a tough 8-0 loss against Indiana Tech.
- The (RV) Lady Tigers opened their 2026 campaign with a 1-1 split, run-ruling Northwestern Ohio 12-1 before dropping an 8-0 decision to Indiana Tech.
- Senior Korey Harris led Campbellsville at the plate, tallying three combined hits, two runs, and two RBIs across the doubleheader.
- Rylee Warner and Caroline Pitcock brought the power in game one, combining for five RBIs on a pair of towering home runs against the Racers.
- The pitching trio of Leah Holland, Heidi Tipton, and Ellie Coley combined to strike out five batters on the day.
- Campbellsville's offense dominated the Racers in the morning match-up, outhitting Northwestern Ohio 8-2 and tallying 11 RBIs with five stolen bases.
- The Lady Tigers will be back in action tomorrow, Friday, February 13, for two rematches against the Indiana Tech Warriors and the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers, continuing the Patriots Classic at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET.
CAMPBELLSVILLE 12, NORTHWESTERN OHIO 1
Campbellsville dominated the game early, closing the first inning with a 5-0 lead.
Jessie Daniels sparked the offense with a two-run double to right center, later scoring on the throw down as
Madison Reed swiped second base.
Rylee Warner then capped the frame with a two-run homer to left center.
Northwestern Ohio scratched a run across in the top of the second on an RBI groundout. In the bottom half of the inning,
Caroline Pitcock laced a double to right-center but was stranded to end the threat.
The third inning saw an offensive clinic from Campbellsville, as the Lady Tigers plated seven runs to extend their upper hand.
Delaney Hilpp lined an RBI single,
Hannah Hackworth took a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch to push a run across, and Harris singled to drive in two more. Pitcock then cleared the bases, closing the inning's scoring with a massive three-run blast to right center.
Pitchers
Leah Holland and
Heidi Tipton kept the Racers quiet for the remainder of the five-inning contest. Holland earned the victory after allowing just one run on two hits over four innings, while Tipton struck out the side in the top of the fifth to secure the run-rule win.
CAMPBELLSVILLE 0, INDIANA TECH 8
Indiana Tech captured the momentum early in the afternoon match-up, grabbing a 2-0 lead in the first inning off a two-run home run by V. Boyer, and never looked back. During their share of the fourth inning, the Warriors stretched their lead, capitalizing on an error and stringing together four hits to plate three more runs.
The Lady Tigers struggled to find an offensive rhythm, going hitless through the first four innings and leaving runners stranded. It was not until the fifth inning that
Karleigh Walker and
Korey Harris broke up the no-hitter, each tallying a single through the left and right sides, respectively. However, Campbellsville was unable to push them across the plate, cementing the 8-0 final in five innings.
