MIDWAY, Ky. – The Campbellsville Tigers powered their way to a dominant 14-4 road victory over Midway on Wednesday afternoon, using a massive fourth inning to secure the win.
- Antony Gilbert led the Tigers offensively, going 2-for-4 with a home run, double, and five RBIs, including a crucial three-run double that helped seal the victory.
- Jaxson Grubbs delivered a key momentum swing, finishing 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and three RBIs while scoring twice.
- Fernando Serrano provided consistency in the lineup, going 2-for-3, scoring two runs, and reaching base three times to help fuel the offense.
- Brady Henke set the tone at the top of the order, scoring three runs while adding a double and an RBI.
- Parker King earned the win in relief, tossing 3 scoreless innings and holding Midway hitless to maintain Campbellsville's momentum.

Campbellsville struck first in the opening frame when Henke doubled to right center and later scored on an RBI groundout by Franzel to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Midway answered in the bottom half, scoring on an RBI groundout after a hit batter and stolen base, tying the game at 1-1.
Midway took the lead in the second inning, capitalizing on a Campbellsville error and a sacrifice fly to score two unearned runs and move ahead 3-1. The Tigers were unable to respond, leaving the score in Midway's favor.
The Tigers cut into the deficit in the third inning when Gilbert launched a solo home run to left center, bringing Campbellsville within one run at 3-2.
Campbellsville broke the game open with a dominant eight-run fourth inning. Serrano singled to spark the rally, and
Tate Wischnack drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game.
Anthony Esposito reached on an error that allowed another run to score, and Bryce Henke added an RBI walk. Gilbert followed with a sacrifice fly, and Grubbs delivered the biggest blow of the inning with a three-run home run, giving the Tigers a commanding 10-3 lead.
Both pitching staffs settled in during the fifth inning, as neither team was able to generate offense, and the Tigers maintained their seven-run advantage.
Campbellsville threatened with a single from Franzel but was unable to add to its lead. Midway also failed to capitalize in the bottom half, leaving the score unchanged.
The Tigers added insurance in the seventh inning. Serrano singled and Wischnack walked to start the rally before Esposito drove in a run with a single. Gilbert capped the scoring with a three-run double to extend the lead to 14-3. Midway added one run in the bottom half, but Campbellsville closed out the game to secure the 14-4 victory.
