OPELIKA, Ala. – The Tiger and Lady Tiger golf teams headed south to Grand National Lake Course to compete with some tough competition, finishing third and sixth place overall, respectively. The men's field featured #6 Dalton State, #22 Point University, and (RV) Midway. The women's slate saw #10 Loyola and #22 Lawrence Tech.
The Tigers played some quality golf this week with their podium team-finish. After the first two rounds, CU found themselves seven shots out of the lead. Daniel Drjlevic and
Carson Childress paced the squad with a T13 performance. Drjlevic's second round 68 (-4) was the lowest score of the week for Campbellsville as he carded six birdies.
Corentin Hue finished one shot behind them, ending tied for 16th.
Niik Triyananont finished T24, and
Javier Anez slotted in 34th.
The Lady Tigers finished sixth as a team, paced by
Conleigh Wilson in ninth. Her second round 77 was the lowest card for CU as she recorded three birdies.
Hallie Jo Simpson wasn't far behind her T14. Simpson played consistent golf with matching 82s in her last two rounds.
Priya Latchayya ended in 31st place.
Kennedy Daughtry finished 32nd, and
Tinsley Neagle concluded in 37th.
Tiger Golf has a quick turnaround as they compete this Sunday at the Lindsey Wilson Invite in Columbia, Kentucky.
