LEBANON, Tenn. – The (RV) Campbellsville flag football team took to the road to battle the Cumberland University Phoenix on Thursday night. Although the Lady Tigers generated 237 total yards, they were unable to find the end zone against the Phoenix, falling in 25-0 shutout.

- Monica Montes led the Lady Tigers with 79 receiving yards in six receptions, averaging 13.2 yards per receiving attempt.
- Emani Scott pushed Campbellsville to 11 gained yards in three rushing attempts, averaging 3.7 yards per rush.
- Kiersten Padma racked up a 59.1% passing percentage with 13 complete passes of 22 attempts.
- The Lady Tigers will be back in action, taking the road to Columbia, Kentucky to battle the Lindsey Wilson University Blue Raiders tomorrow, Friday, March 13th beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
The Lady Tigers opened the game with the ball, but the Phoenix set the tone early, scoring at the 8:01 mark on a three-yard passing touchdown. Campbellsville's defense saw Angeline Beecher intercepting a pass from Jade Collazo, aiming to gain momentum for the Lady Tigers. However, Cumberland struck again with a 25-yard rushing touchdown, closing the first quarter with the Phoenix leading 13-0.
Cumberland came into the second quarter with strong pressure against Campbellsville, racking up another six points to grow their lead. The Lady Tigers refused to back down, with a ten-play, 49-yard drive to reach the Phoenix's 25-yard line. Although the drive ended in a turnover, Campbellsville's stopped Cumberland from getting too far ahead on their lead.
Quickly in the third quarter, the Phoenix scored a 23-yard touchdown at the 8:38 mark to make it a 25-0 game. The Lady Tigers responded by diving deep into the end zone to pick up some yardage with Monica Montes and Natalia Gomez, but despite reaching the six-yard line, the Phoenix continued to hold the lead and forced Campbellsville to turnover the ball to close the period.
The Lady Tigers came into the final quarter with aggressive defensive grit, stifling the Phoenix's rhythm and shutting down their attempts to attack. Campbellsville kept fighting until the final whistle, making it deep into Cumberland's territory with two late-game drives, but an interception by the Phoenix in the closing minutes prevented the Lady Tigers from reaching the end zone. Neither team managed to collect any points in the final quarter, sealing a 25-0 victory for Cumberland.
