  • Schavon Carr secured a national runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles, shattering his own school record with a blazing time of 7.85 seconds to earn his second career All-American honor.
  • David Young delivered a massive performance in the triple jump, leaping 14.99 meters (49' 2.25") to climb from the 26th seed to a fifth-place finish and All-American status.
  • JaQuez Campbell represented the Tigers in the long jump, placing 13th nationally in a highly competitive field with a solid mark of 7.14 meters (23' 5.25").
  • The Campbellsville men's squad demonstrated its elite potential on the national stage at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Florida, proving their mettle against the nation's premier jump and hurdle talent.
The Tigers' biggest highlight came on the straightaway, where senior Schavon Carr continued to cement his legacy as one of the program's premier hurdlers. Entering the meet with a seed time of 7.99 seconds and competing in Heat 2 of the preliminaries, Carr safely advanced through the opening round with a 7.93-second finish. He then raised his level in the finals, shattering his own school record with a time of 7.85 seconds. He narrowly missed the national title by just 0.03 seconds, claiming the national runner-up spot and earning All-American honors for the second time in his career.

"Schavon showed tremendous poise throughout the competition," Head Coach Ranard Adkison said. "To perform like that on the national stage and come within a fraction of a second of a national title says a lot about his focus and preparation."

In the field events, David Young delivered one of the meet's most impressive breakthrough performances in the triple jump. Initially entering the competition ranked as the 26th seed with a qualifying mark of 14.53 meters in Flight 1, Young exploded for a massive leap of 14.99 meters (49' 2.25"). His dramatic improvement vaulted him up the leaderboard to finish fifth in the nation, securing his place on the podium and earning All-American honors.

"David delivered an outstanding performance in the triple jump," Adkison said. "To move from the 26th seed to finish fifth in the nation shows his determination and ability to rise to the moment."

JaQuez Campbell also represented the Tigers well against the nation's top horizontal jumpers. Competing out of Flight 2 of the long jump, Campbell soared to a mark of 7.14 meters (23' 5.25"), finishing 13th overall to cap off a strong indoor campaign.

"We're proud of JaQuez for competing in the long jump and representing our program on the national stage," Adkison said. "Competing at nationals is never easy, and he stepped up to the challenge."

With multiple All-American performances and strong national finishes, the Tigers once again demonstrated their ability to compete among the best programs in the NAIA.

"I'm extremely proud of how our athletes competed at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships," Adkison concluded. "These performances reflect the competitive mindset and belief we're continuing to build within our program. Our athletes believe they belong on this stage, and that confidence continues to push us forward."
