Crewe-Brown lands historic All-American status

ELKHART, Ind. – The Campbellsville University women's swimming program celebrated a historic milestone at the 2026 NAIA National Championships this week, as Marlien Crewe-Brown delivered a breakthrough performance on the national stage to earn All-American honors.

Competing at the Elkhart Health & Aquatics Center, the Tigers' standout breaststroker etched her name into the history books. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Crewe-Brown set the tone with a stellar morning swim, posting a personal-best time of 1:04.79 in the preliminaries to qualify seventh. Returning for the championship A Final under the evening lights, she touched the wall in 1:04.93 to finish sixth in the nation.

The podium finish marked a monumental achievement for Campbellsville, as Crewe-Brown became the first female All-American in the program since its reinstatement, further cementing her legacy in the Tigers' record books.

Crewe-Brown's momentum continued into the 200-yard breaststroke discipline. After qualifying ninth out of the morning preliminaries with a time of 2:23.21, she returned for the consolation final and dropped her time to 2:22.51. The strong evening swim secured her a ninth-place overall finish in the event.

Adding to her demanding championship schedule, the junior also stepped onto the blocks for the 50-yard freestyle, finishing 52nd in the nation with a quick time of 25.53.

Crewe-Brown's performances in Elkhart capped off a truly standout season. By bringing home All-American hardware and establishing new benchmarks on the national stage, she has set a brand new standard of excellence for Campbellsville women's swimming.
