CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – On Senior Day in their regular season finale against the #9 Cumberlands Patriots, the Campbellsville Tigers came up short, unable to overcome an early deficit as the game slipped away late.

Antony Gilbert led the Campbellsville offense, going 1-for-3 with a solo home run and the Tigers' only RBI and run scored in the game.

Brock Brubaker provided the only other hit, finishing 1-for-1 with a single to add one of the few baserunners of the day.

Brady Henke contributed by reaching base once via a walk, helping set the table early in the lineup.

Tate Wischnack was hit by a pitch and reached base once, while also anchoring the defense in center field.

The Tigers will now shift their focus to postseason play, heading to the Mid-South Conference Tournament, scheduled for April 28 through May 2 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Cumberlands opened the game with a quick 1-2-3 inning in the top of the first, as Campbellsville's defense turned in three routine outs to start the day.
The Tigers answered with early traffic in the bottom half, as Brady Henke worked a walk and Antony Gilbert followed with a single, but Kleysen Gabruck grounded out, Antony Gilbert was retired, and Brady Henke flied out to right, leaving both runners stranded.
Both teams went quietly in the second inning, with Jason Franzel striking out looking, Thomas Krueger striking out swinging, and Nick Hagen flying out to left, while the opponent also went down in order to keep things scoreless after two.
The game opened up in the third inning when the Patriots got a leadoff double and started a rally that featured several singles, an RBI double, and a sacrifice fly, producing three runs and giving Campbellsville a 3-0 deficit.
The Tigers had a chance in the bottom of the third when Tate Wischnack was hit by a pitch, but Jaxson Grubbs, Joaquin Hernandez, and Kleysen Gabruck were all retired in order, stranding him.
In the fourth inning, Campbellsville held firm defensively despite allowing a runner into scoring position, escaping the frame without further damage.
Campbellsville responded in the bottom of the fourth when Antony Gilbert crushed a solo home run to left field, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Brady Henke grounded out, Jason Franzel struck out looking, and Thomas Krueger flied out to right to end the inning.
In the fifth inning, Campbellsville's defense was undone by an error that led to a two-run home run and additional hits that pushed the lead to 6-1.
The Tigers went down in order in the bottom of the fifth, with Nick Hagen grounding out, Jaxson Grubbs striking out swinging, and Tate Wischnack popping out.
In the sixth inning, Campbellsville saw Brock Brubaker single and Brady Henke reach on an error, but Jason Franzel struck out swinging to strand both runners.
The Patriots added to the lead with an RBI double and a run scoring on an error, extending the margin to 8-1 in the sixth.
In the seventh inning, Campbellsville's defense was overwhelmed by a sequence that included multiple hits, a hit-by-pitch, and a grand slam home run that broke the game open to 12-1.
