CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville goalkeeper
Malthe Schou made seven saves, and
Ollie Jagroop added a defensive stop, Wednesday at Finley Stadium, but No. 14 West Virginia University Institute of Technology converted once before halftime and twice in quick succession after the break to defeat the Tigers 3-0.
- Schou made seven saves across 90 minutes, including six before halftime, while Jagroop added a defensive save in the 20th minute to give Campbellsville eight team saves.
- The Tigers trailed only 1-0 at halftime despite facing 13 shots, seven on goal, and five corner kicks during the opening period.
- WVU Tech created separation with goals 74 seconds apart, converting a penalty at 54:28 before scoring again at 55:42.
- Campbellsville placed four of its eight shots on target, with Mihlali Blesi, Inaki Perez, Alessandro Martinez, and Izan Garcia Gancedo each testing goalkeeper Ramon Ferrari.
- The Tigers generated four second-half corner kicks, including three during a five-minute spell immediately after WVU Tech took a 3-0 lead.
- Campbellsville committed six fouls compared with WVU Tech's 18, while each side received two player cautions. WVU Tech also received a team caution.

WVU Tech applied pressure from the opening whistle, but Campbellsville's defense kept the match scoreless through the first half-hour. Schou stopped Joost Hermeling in the third and ninth minutes before denying Kai Cooper and another Hermeling attempt during the opening 17 minutes.
Jagroop preserved the scoreless match in the 20th minute, clearing Hermeling's attempt off the line for a defensive save. Schou then turned away Gonzalo Sabeh's effort in the 31st minute.
The Golden Bears broke through at 34:05 when Sabeh scored unassisted. Schou prevented the margin from growing with another save against Gonzalo Colman in the 41st minute.
Campbellsville generated its best stretch of the first half shortly before intermission. Blesi forced Ferrari into a save at 41:32, and Perez directed a header on frame following
Jon Magnusson's corner kick in the 44th minute. Ferrari stopped both attempts to send WVU Tech into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The Golden Bears extended their advantage in the 55th minute when Danilo Jokovic converted a penalty kick. Wilfredo Briceño scored from Francisco Mustra's assist 74 seconds later, making it 3-0.
Campbellsville responded by pressing forward. Martinez forced a save from Ferrari in the 59th minute, and the Tigers earned three corner kicks between 56:39 and 61:15. Martinez had another attempt blocked during that spell.
Garcia Gancedo produced Campbellsville's next shot on goal in the 79th minute, but Ferrari made his fourth save to preserve the shutout. Schou stopped Colman at the other end two minutes later for his seventh save.
Martinez sent the Tigers' final attempt high in the 85th minute, and WVU Tech closed out the remaining time. Campbellsville finished with eight shots, four on goal, and six corner kicks, while the Golden Bears recorded 23 shots, 11 on target, and nine corners.
