CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. —
Julia Ogren and
Fiona Jolly scored twice apiece as Campbellsville University controlled Indiana Tech from the opening minutes Saturday, defeating the Warriors 5-0 at Finley Stadium to remain unbeaten through five matches.
- Campbellsville sustained pressure throughout the match. The Tigers outshot Indiana Tech 43-3, placing 24 attempts on goal and generating at least 20 shots in each half.
- Ogren's first-half brace established control. She scored in the 11th and 24th minutes, converting two of her four shots on goal to give Campbellsville an early two-goal cushion.
- Jolly contributed another multi-goal performance. She scored once in each half, finishing with two goals on six shots, including four on frame.
- Five Tigers contributed to the scoring sequences. Amelie Matheis recorded a goal and an assist, while Josephine Lindström, Valeria Chavez, and Laura Munoz each supplied an assist.
- The Tigers dominated the flanks and set-piece opportunities. Campbellsville earned 12 corner kicks, six in each half, while limiting Indiana Tech to one.
- Campbellsville's goalkeepers preserved another clean sheet. Sydney Hall made one save over the opening 72:56 before Verena Schneider stopped Indiana Tech's only second-half shot on goal during the final 17:04.
- The unbeaten start continued. Campbellsville improved to 4-0-1 with its third shutout of the season, while Indiana Tech fell to 0-4-1.
Campbellsville tested Indiana Tech goalkeeper Madison Strain three times during the opening five minutes. Strain denied
Jessie Amphlett and twice stopped
Ella Palframan before Ogren broke through at 10:06 with an unassisted goal.
The Tigers continued to operate in the attacking third, forcing three more saves before doubling their advantage. Matheis set up Ogren at 23:30 for her second goal of the match and Campbellsville's second of the evening.
Jolly extended the lead at 32:24, finishing a pass from Lindström to make it 3-0. Campbellsville entered halftime with a 23-2 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks after forcing nine first-half saves.
Indiana Tech generated its first shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but Hall stopped Jillian Lester's attempt to preserve the three-goal lead. The Warriors' Payton Kuhn sent another effort high shortly before halftime.
Campbellsville resumed its pressure after the break. Strain made five saves during the opening 21 minutes of the second half, denying
Oddny Helgadottir,
Grace Smith twice, Amphlett, Matheis, and Ogren.
Jolly added her second goal at 67:41 off an assist from Chavez, pushing the Tigers ahead 4-0. Strain stopped another Jolly attempt two minutes later as Campbellsville continued to apply pressure.
Matheis completed the scoring at 76:58, converting Munoz's service for Campbellsville's fifth goal. The Tigers forced three additional saves during the closing stages, including Veronica Cenci's stop on Lindström in the final minute.
Schneider replaced Hall in goal in the 73rd minute and denied Brianna Ramirez at 84:01, completing Campbellsville's third shutout through five matches. The Tigers finished with advantages of 43-3 in shots, 24-2 in shots on goal, and 12-1 in corner kicks.
