Diego Reynoso enters his third season as an assistant on Beauford Sanders' baseball staff and his second year as the Graduate Assistant after a year as a student assistant.

In his current role, Reynoso's main responsibilities include outfield defensive instruction and in-game alignment as well as coaching first base. His pregame duties include hitting infield/outfield warmups, throwing batting practice pitches, and defensive lineup and batting order decisions. Off the field, he has many behind the scenes responsibilities that include assisting Randy LeBleu maintain HIG Field, washing the team's uniforms at home and on the road along with other duties.

Reynoso joined the coaching staff for CU after spending two seasons as a player in 2016 and 2017 where he finished as a career .281 (79-for-281) hitter. He made almost a 60-point improvement on his batting average from his junior and senior years improving from .245 to .302.

In 2017, he was an integral member of the team that won the Mid-South Conference Regular Season Title going 13-4 in conference play and 39-23 overall. As the regular starting first baseman, Reynoso hit for that .302 average adding six doubles and a home run while only committing three errors in 495 chances for a .994 fielding percentage.
