Frantz will be valuable as he is versatile, but will primarily be used out of the Tiger bullpen with his submarine delivery ... Is capable of playing all nine positions ... AT CHEMEKETA COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2008):  Played for the NWAAC's Chemeketa Storm in the highly competitive wood bat league for coach Tucker Brock ... As a member of the Storm, Frantz saw most of his action at third base where he helped lead the Storm to a league record of 16-14.

AT BETHANY UNIVERSITY (2007): Played his true freshman year at Bethany University in Santa Cruz, California for Coach Chris Lewis and current Campbellsville Assistant Jake McKinley ... While at Bethany, Frantz served as the Bruins starting third baseman and hit in their two hole.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Rogue River High School in Rogue River, Oregon for Coach John White ... Frantz had a stellar senior campaign, earning All-State honors and hitting seven homeruns.

GETTING TO KNOW SPENCER: A duel major (P.E. and Health), Spencer Ray Frantz was born on December 9th, 1987, and he resides in Rogue River, Oregon ... He has a younger brother, Carson (18) ... His father is Gary Frantz ... Hobbies outside of Baseball include Golf, Bowling, and watching "The Hills" ... Lists his father Gary as his greatest athletic inspiration ... Plans on becoming a teacher after he is finished playing.
