Chris Pardue 2020 Head Shot

Chris Pardue

Entering 2022-23: 8th overall (2nd second tenure)
Alma Mater: Western Kentucky University ('86)

Chris Pardue, who coached at Campbellsville University from 2008-2011, was hired in January 2020 as the offensive coordinator. He will take over an offense that has been tops in the NAIA since 2015. Pardue was recently on staff for future KHSAA Hall of Famer Chuck Smith at Boyle County High School as the offensive coordinator before both resigned their positions after the Rebels finished runner-up at the state championship in 2019.

Pardue served as the head coach and offensive coordinator Boyle County from 1992-2007. During that time, the Rebels won five-straight KHSAA state titles from 1999-2003 – all where he served as the offensive coordinator. During his first tenure, Pardue coached the likes of Jacob Tamme and brothers Bobby and Travis Leffew – all which reached the NFL.

Pardue took over as the head coach from 2005-2007 after Coach Smith's departure to the University of Kentucky and the Rebels went 22-15 in his three seasons.

During his first stint at Campbellsville, Pardue helped lead the Tigers to their first NCCAA Victory Bowl Championship appearance in 2010 and then the Tigers won the title in 2011. The Tigers broke 14 single-season and seven single-game offensive team records.

Three of his four seasons ranked among the Top 5 in CU's program history for most yards of offense. During his first stint, the Tigers averaged 4,634 yards a season and 403 yards per game. Using a two-quarterback system in 2010, his team set the program record for most offense in a season with 4,981 yards in 919 plays. Those records have since been broken from 2015-2018 as the Tigers had quarterbacks Jacob Russell and Hunter Brown re-writing the record books.

After his departure from Campbellsville in the spring of 2012, Pardue accepted the head coaching position at Mercer County High School where he led the Titans to a 16-18 record in three seasons.

Pardue joined forces again with Coach Smith at Boyle County for the second time in 2016 and the Rebels went 48-8 during that four-year stretch – winning the state title in 2017 over Corbin High School, 40-21. The state championship was the sixth in Pardue's career.

Over the last four seasons, the Rebels have had a few notable players under Pardue's mentorship. Wide receiver Reece Smith signed with former Boyle County Rebel Neal Brown at West Virginia while offensive lineman Will Bramel went on to play at Purdue University.

Pardue, a Scottsville, Ky. native, started his coaching career at Allen County-Scottsville in 1985 as the defensive and offensive coordinator and coached all positions during his tenure with ACS.

He attended Western Kentucky University to earn his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and also received his Special Education degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

He is married to Sherry Pardue.
