In 2008, Crosby was on the staff at Delta State, that advanced to the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals. For Coach Ron Roberts, Crosby was the video coordinator and coached the running backs. Delta State went 10-2 on the season losing to North Alabama in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. The Statesmen were ranked seventh in the final AFCA poll and won the Gulf South Conference championship.
Prior to his stint at Delta State, he spent one season as an assistant video coordinator at Oregon State under Mike Riley. His responsibilities for the Beavers included the filming of practices and games, as well as breaking down video on the opposition. OSU won nine games, including a win over the University of Maryland in the Emerald Bowl in 2007.
He spent three seasons as the offensive line coach and athletic department video coordinator at Hiram College from 2004 to 2006. In 2003, he coached the offensive line at his alma mater, Washington & Jefferson.
