In Snyder’s first year on staff, he led the defensive backs to ranking No. 21 in passing defense per game (184 yards) and No. 7 in the country with an opponent fourth down conversion percentage of 30.4 percent.

In his first season, CU had a pair of Tigers named to the All Mid-South Conference team - Marquis Cain and James Gardner.

This upcoming season sees a young core of defensive backs for Snyder with one senior and two juniors on the roster.

Justin Ramos is the lone senior in the defensive back group and helped key the defense last season. Ramos compiled 65 total tackles in 2016, which was fifth most for the Tigers last year.
Snyder’s coaching experience started in 2006 at North Kitsap High School as the wide receivers/defensive backs coach.

In 2009-11, he took a position at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa as the defensive backs/special teams coordinator. In 2011-14 he moved to Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and coached the outside linebackers.

Snyder is also involved with leading Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Campbellsville and married the former Katie Irwin in summer 2016.
