Bekah Tilton is beginning her first season as assistant coach for the Campbellsville University men’s and women’s swimming teams and also a part-time assistant athletic trainer. Her main sports will be football and outdoor track and field.

Tilton is an alum of the program, having graduated in 2016. She was a member of the 2014, 2015- & 2016-Women’s National Teams, two of which were Team National Champions of Character award recipients.

Tilton served as a team captain her senior year. She was also the 2016 recipient of the Individual Champions of Character award. During her time in the water, Tilton often competed in the 1650, 500 and 200 Freestyle events as well as the 100 backstroke and the 200 individual medley. 

Tilton was also a dedicated student assistant to the athletic training staff, primarily working with football. She also held a job as head lifeguard at Powell Athletic Center and an assistant coach for the Taylor County and Campbellsville Middle & High School swimming teams. After graduation, she spent a year working as an athletic training Intern at Mechanicsburg Area High School in Pennsylvania and then began graduate school at Spalding University in Louisville, Ky. 

Tilton previously swam for the Langley Air Force Base Stingrays, in Virginia, and the Anderson Air Force Base Marlins, in Guam. She was Homeschooled and participated in a co-op group from eighth grade until graduation. She enjoyed being in the water at a young age and began competing when she was 12. Tilton grew up as an Air Force kid and has lived all over the U.S. 

Tilton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Campbellsville University and a Master’s of Science degree in Athletic Training from Spalding University.
