Lyndsie Short was hired in the summer of 2018 as an assistant athletic trainer. She has worked previously with a Mid-South Conference foe, University of Pikeville, the previous four years.
While at UPIKE, Short’s primary team assignments were men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, baseball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and women’s lacrosse. She was also the director of the athletic training Work-Study program where she interviewed, hired, scheduled and supervised students gaining experience in the athletic training field.
In addition to working with the students from UPIKE, Short also was a clinical instructor for the athletic training students from Shawnee State University. She also was an adjunct professor at UPIKE as she taught Concepts of Fitness and Wellness the previous two years.
While earning her Bacherlor’s degree at Castleton University in Vermont, Short worked as a student athletic trainer and earned experience with baseball, football, ice hockey, field hockey, women’s lacrosse and men’s soccer.
