KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2018 Baseball All-Americans and Campbellsville's DJ Wilson earns First-Team honors.

Wilson, from Bend, Oregon, is the fourth Tiger to ever be named First-Team All-American as he joins Donnie Johnson (2006), Enrique Lazu (1999) and Demond Thomas (1995). In addition, he is the 13thTiger to earn either First- or Second-Team or Honorable Mention.

Wilson found his role on the team in the back-end of the bullpen and flourished as the Tigers' closer. In his 26 appearances, he finished the year with a 7-2 record, 10 saves and 1.78 ERA – all team-highs. In his 50.2 innings pitched, Wilson allowed only 10 earned runs and struck out 48, while opponents hit .198.

The 26 appearances and 10 saves ranks third in the single-season record books, while his ERA is fifth. In addition, he finished with two saves in 2017 to total 12 for his career – ranking third in the career record book.

His 10 saves this season also ranked seventh in the country at the NAIA level.

Wilson also earned First-Team All-Conference honors in the Mid-South Conference during his senior season.
