KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Campbellsville's Neely Quint and Jacqueline Roof were named Second-Team All-Americans.

The McCracken County High School products led Campbellsville to its eighth Mid-South Conference Regular Season Championship and fifth tournament title in program history. They also helped CU reached the NAIA Opening Round for the fourth consecutive season.

Roof, a shortstop from Paducah, Ky., continues to add on to her accolades. She earned MSC Freshman of the Year honors her rookie season before being named the MSC Player of the Year the previous three seasons.

15She led the Lady Tigers by hitting .390 with 71 hits in 182 at bats. Her 10 home runs were second on the team and her 43 RBI and eight stolen bases were third. In addition, Roof slugged .687 with 14 doubles, five triples and 10 homers, and her on-base-percentage led CU at .486.

In her career, Roof broke many Lady Tiger records. She leads the program in career slugging percentage (.723), runs scored (217), total bases (470) and home runs (48). She finished her career hitting .402 with 49 doubles, eight triples and 38 stolen bases.

Quint, a right-handed pitcher from Brookport, Ill., also had a stellar senior season and career. In 2018, Quint led CU with a 1.52 ERA and finished the year with a 29-3 record – the 29 wins broke the single-season record set in 2016.

Quint totaled 202.2 innings, allowed only 44 earned runs and 24 walks while striking out 114. Her 29 wins ranked third in the country, while her 0.83 walks per game was 12th.

15In her career, she leads the program record book in career wins 86, second in appearances (124), fourth in ERA (.196) and fourth in strikeouts (321).

Quint earned First-Team All-Conference honors all four seasons at CU and was named the 2018 MSC Pitcher of the Year.

With the two NAIA All-American selections this season, Campbellsville now has eight in program history. Roof earned First-Team honors in 2016, while Victoria Decker was named a Second-Team performer (2015 & 2016), Kristin Benton earned Second-Team honors (2014) and Emma Napier was a Second-Team selection (2013). Alex Jane Clemmons earned Honorable Mention in 2010.
