KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A season that resulted in NCCAA All-American and All Mid-South Conference honors, sophomore men's soccer player Connor Grant was named to the NAIA All-American teams as an honorable mention selection for his accomplishments during the 2019 season.
 
The defender from Cannock, England played and started in 21 of the 22 Tiger soccer games this season, only missing the 6-0 win for CU in the NCCAA National Championship Tournament over Judson University.
 
Grant finished the season with three goals and three assists primarily playing central defense as he was a big target on set pieces and corner kicks using his 6-3 frame and strong leaping ability to win balls in the air on offensive opportunities.
 
With the NAIA All-America honor for Grant, he becomes the first Campbellsville men's soccer player to achieve such recognition since a trio of Tigers did so in 2015 when Marcelo Petit earned a Third Team selection with Gonzalo Sapena and Chris Moyo also receiving honorable mention honors.
 
The Tigers finished the season with a 14-7-1 record, earned a win in the Mid-South Conference tournament and received bids into both the NAIA and NCCAA tournament where CU finished the 2019 season with a loss in the NCCAA semi-final round.
