Coming off of an impressive 4-0 win in their season opener less than 24 hours ago, the Campbellsville University men's soccer team swept both offensive and defensive players of the week from the Mid-South Conference on Monday.
 
Sophomore midfielder Gustav Oskarsson and freshman goalkeeper Jeremi Campagnolo earned the honors in the first opportunity for nomination and voting of the 2020-21 season.
 
Oskarsson assisted on the first two Tiger goals against Oakland City University this past Sunday as CU moved to 1-0 on the season with their 4-0 win. Oskarsson assisted on Gianluca Contegno's first half goal then also got the helper on the second half goal scored by Sergio Tarrida.
 
Campagnolo got the win in goal for the team 4-0 shutout as the freshman earned the starting role for the 2020 season in a battle with Edoardo Forastieri. Campagnolo played 75 of the 90 minutes to make three saves as Forastieri finished off the shutout in the final 15 minutes.
 
The Tigers will host their home opener this Saturday at Finley Stadium when they play host to Brescia University at 7 p.m. ET. That game was originally scheduled to be played in Owensboro, Ky. but was moved to Campbellsville due to field conditions at Brescia.
