CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. –
Andreas Nota was selected as the Mid-South Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Nota earns his first career MSC weekly honor after helping 16th-ranked Campbellsville to a 3-1 road win over No. 11 Bryan College.
In the Tigers lone match of the week, Nota made four saves and allowed just one goal in his 90 minutes of work.
Nota picked up his second win of the season as he – along with the team – moved to 2-0-0 on the year.
Over the first two games of the season, the freshman goalkeeper from Rome, Italy has recorded eight saves, while his 0.50 goals against average is tied for 21st in the NAIA. Nota has compiled a save percentage of .889.
The Tigers have two matches on tap for this week as they host Mount Vernon Nazarene University at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday night, followed by a Friday night contest against Kentucky Christian University at Finley Stadium at 7 p.m. ET.
Filip Milivojevic was selected as the MSC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, to round out the weekly honors.
