Campbellsville, KY - The Campbellsville University Tigers pounded on the 6th ranked University of the Cumberlands Patriots 5-1 and won their fourth straight Mid-South Conference Tournament Championship this afternoon in a game played on Tiger Field.

Campbellsville entered the tournament as the #3 seed and won their way to the Championship last week in Georgetown while the Patriots were the #1 seed and also the highest ranked team in NAIA Region XI.

Cumberlands, playing as the home team on the scoreboard led 1-0 after six innings of play, but the Tigers picked up 2 runs in the top of the seventh and added three more runs in the top of the eighth while Jeff Duda pitched the final three innings for Campbellsville and gave up just one hit. Duda was credited with the save while
Marc Wilson picked up the win on the mound for Campbellsville.

Campbellsville improved to 24-18 while Cumberlands fell to 43-12 on the year. Both teams advance to the NAIA Region XI Tournament to be played in Lebanon, Tennessee next week. Brackets will be announced later.
