The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers extended their win streak to six matches Saturday, with a homecoming win
over Trevecca Nazarene University, 3-0. After the first set win, 25-17, the match grew tighter. CU overcame a five-point deficit in each of the final two sets, to sweep the Lady Trojans (25-17, 25-21, 25-23). The win was the second over Trevecca this season.
Brooke Marcum led the Lady Tigers' offense with 10 kills,
followed by Renee Netherton and Shannon Cahill with eight each. Setter Caroline
Martin had 33 assists. Cahill led the defense with 18 digs, while Caitlin
Dresing had 15 digs.
CU (23-7) returns to action Monday, Oct. 12, as it hosts No. 8 Georgetown College in a battle for first-place in the Mid-South Conference.Georgetown defeated the CU Lady Tigers earlier this season in three sets to take a half game lead in conference play.
