Whitney Ballinger scored the Lady Tigers' first points, 7-2. Ballinger went on to produce 31 points in 23 minutes of play, her second-best offensive showing of her career.
CU trailed the first seven minutes until
Wendi Messer hit
back-to-back 3-pointers to turn an 11-7 game into a 13-11 Lady Tiger
lead. Messer was 3-for-3 beyond the arc in the first half and finished
with 13 points. The six-point swing by Messer ignited a 20-7 run by CU
