Campbellsville University rambled past two Heartland Athletic Conference opponents on the first night of the Hanover College Invitational by identical 3-0 scores.
Head Coach
Randy LeBleu has his team on a pretty good run. After losing to Goshen College in the season's second match, the Lady Tigers have reeled off eight straight wins and stand at 9-1. The latest two were against the host Hanover team and a squad from Franklin College.
Campbellsville will play Maryville College early Saturday morning and the winner earns its way into the afternoon final.
Against Hanover, CU won 25-23, 25-15 and 25-16.
LeBleu credited Lilian daSilva with stepping up after the team's starting setter missed the match due to injury.
"She really played well," LeBleu said.
Campbellsville defeated Franklin 25-9, 25-14 and 25-14.
"We dominated this match," said LeBleu. "We served really tough and blocked well too."
The Lady Tigers will have their home-opener on Monday when Cumberland University comes in for a 7 p.m. start.
