Box Score Campbellsville doubled its win total Tuesday at home with a 5-1 win over Cincinnati Christian University. But that didn't necessarily mean the Tigers' coach was a happy camper.
We're not anywhere, with the players we have, close to where we need to be," said coach
Adam Preston. "The expectations are much greater than our performance to date."
Seventeen minutes into the game
Ramiro Sanchez, a sophomore from Cali, Columbia, netted the game's first score. Three minutes later
Alex Adams, a junior from Floyd's Knobbs, Ind., found the back of the net and 2-0 CU lead.
But 31 minutes into the game Cincinnati's Jesse Campbell squirted around a Campbellsville defender and squeezed a shot just out of reach of goalkeeper
James Clements and just inside the left post.
Tiger freshman
Emmanuel Nfor from Frankfort, Ky. scored the first varsity goal of his career with six minutes left on the first-half clock.

"Take nothing away from Cincinnati Christian (1-3-1)," said Preston. "They played hard, but we did not execute like we should."
Campbellsville score three times into a significant headwind. With the wind to their backs, they scored twice more.
Casey Clarke, a freshman from London, England, booted through two goals in the second half to make the final margin 5-1. Clarke also had an assist on Adams' goal in in the 20th minute.
Campbellsville (2-4) won the shots-on-goal stat 13-1.
"It's unfortunate that we won 5-1 and I'm still unhappy," said Preston.
The Tigers have seven days to work a bit of magic on their game. They host Pikeville College on Sept. 23 at 4 p.m.
