Bluefield downs CU men's soccer

Box Score A loss Friday to Spring Arbor dropped Campbellsville University men's soccer to the consolation match of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University Cougar Invitational Saturday, a match they lost, 2-1, to Bluefield (Va.) College.

Bluefield bounced back from a 1-0 loss to MVNU on Friday and knocked off Campbellsville as Nago Mbengue scored a goal in each half. Casey Clarke got the Tigers on the scoreboard in the 84th minute, but they were never able to equalize. Mbengue and teammate Timmy Michaels joined Campbellsville's James Clements and Spring Arbor teammates Brennan Rees, Marcel Preis and Francesco Paese on the All-Tournament Team.

MVNU beat Spring Arbor, 2-0, in the tournament championship.

CU (0-2) will host Tennessee Wesleyan for its home opener Tuesday at 4 p.m.
