Box Score Campbellsville University picked up a midweek, non-conference shutout on the road Wednesday at Cincinnati Christian University, 5-0.

With three starters (
Alex Adams,
Chris Collins-Reed and
Pontus Yngve) on the bench to start the game and a total of six cards given out in the game, the Tigers were held to two goals in the first half against the Eagles.
Casey Clarke missed a penalty kick in the first half, but scored off the rebound to give CU a 1-0 lead. Later in the half,
Gustavo Valecillos struck a goal from 20 yards out off a
Ramiro Sanchez assist to enter halftime up 2-0.
In the second half, Valecillos assisted a goal to CU freshman
Jamie Allen, Clarke netted a second goal and
Jordan Benton, starting in place of Yngve, netted his first collegiate goal off a
Ryan Miller assist.
Adams and Yngve did not start due to injury, but Yngve played some late in the game. Collins-Reed was serving a one-game suspension for his yellow card count for the season.
Goalkeeper
James Clements had five saves in the win.
Kyle Thomas played the final 10 minutes in goal and had one assist as the pair combined for the Tigers' fifth shutout of the season.
Campbellsville (10-3, 2-3 MSC) returns to Mid-South Conference action Saturday at West Virginia University Tech for a double-header with the women's team. The Lady Tigers play at 5 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m.
