Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University was unable to rally back from three goals down Thursday night, as No. 25 Tennessee Wesleyan College defeated the Tigers, 3-1, at Finley Stadium.

The first half played to a scoreless battle as both teams had three shots on goal, despite Tennessee Wesleyan out-shooting CU 11 to 6.
Luke Winter and John Carrier teamed up to break the tie for the Bulldogs in the 62nd minute. Winter scored the go-ahead goal off a Carrier assist and followed with the eventual game-winner in the 63rd minute off an assist by Josh Simnett. Carrier gave the Bulldogs insurance with a goal in the 71st minute off a rebounded shot by Sam Clare.
Ramiro Sanchez quickly responded and put the Tigers on the board in 72nd minute, but Campbellsville was unable to place another shot on goal in the game.
Kyle Thomas had seven saves for the Tigers, while Josh Leader had five for TWC.
With the victory, Tennessee Wesleyan extended its win streak to nine games. The Bulldogs (12-2, 5-0 AAC), will travel to Union College on Saturday for an Appalachian Athletic Conference game.
Campbellsville (5-6-2, 1-1-1 MSC) will travel to the University of Pikeville on Saturday for a 6 p.m. ET game in the Mid-South Conference.
