Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Entering the game Saturday, everyone knew a losing streak was going to come to an end at Montgomery's Cramton Bowl. However, it was Faulkner University that came out on top in a barn burner victory over Campbellsville University, 59-49.

Campbellsville pulled ahead by 11 points to go into halftime leading, 28-17, after scoring 14 unanswered points in the second quarter. The Eagles' quarterback Josh Hollingsworth and his offense could not be stopped in the second half though, as the sophomore threw for a school record 564 yards and six touchdowns.
After Faulkner went up by 10 points late in the game, 52-42, Tiger kick returner
Gerwan Brewer tried to give Campbellsville a new ember of hope with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. With 2:40 remaining, Campbellsville recovered the onside kick but was ruled out of bounds, giving the Eagles back the ball at the Tigers' 38. Hollingsworth sealed the game for Faulkner with a short pass to Courtney Pete with less than a minute to play.

The woes began early for the Tigers after quarterback
Will Warf fumbled as he was dropped to the turf. The early turnover led to a 39-yard field goal by Jacob Smith to put Faulkner on the board, 3-0. Both teams traded touchdowns through the end of the first quarter with Faulkner leading 17-14 at the end of 15 minutes.
Late in the second quarter, Warf found
Stan Warrenhuffman for his second touchdown catch of the day, tying the Campbellsville career touchdowns reception record with his 18
th TD catch. The score gave the Tigers the lead, 21-17.
Wayne Coffee, who rushed for a personal-best four touchdowns in the loss, punched in a 17-yard touchdown run in the final minute of the half for the Tigers' 28-17 lead at intermission.
Campbellsville and Faulkner traded turnovers late in the third quarter, as
Will Warf threw an interception in the red zone, but
Earl McCann forced an Eagles' fumble inside the Tigers' 20, recovered by
Leon Melvin. It was Melvin's second takeaway of the game. He collected his fourth interception of the season in the second quarter.
When the Tigers failed to pick up a first down following the turnover, Faulkner marched 54 yards in four plays and 58 seconds to take the lead, 38-35, for the first time since the first quarter. From that point on, Faulkner's momentum was unstoppable.
Campbellsville (3-5, 1-2 MSC East) will return to Mid-South Conference East Division action Saturday, Oct. 29. The Tigers will travel to Grayson, Ky., to play Kentucky Christian University at 12 p.m. ET.
