Box Score RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Campbellsville University was unable to stop the University of Rio Grande in Mid-South Conference action Saturday night, as the RedStorm powered its way to an 8-1 victory.

Rio, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA, took advantage of a hat-trick by Joel Theissen, who also assisted Richard Isberner for a goal in the 19
th minute, which eventually became the game-winner. Neil Harris had two goals for the RedStorm, while Mike De Fonte and Orlando Zapata also scored. Rio led 3-0 at halftime before hammering out five goals from 15 shots in the second half.
The Tigers managed only two shots on goal in the game, both coming in the second half.Â
Adam Fridell scored the Tigers lone goal on a free kick in the 65
th minute and
Mario Renteria had a shot stopped by Rio keeper Jack Marchant. Campbellsville had only six shots in the game all together, as
Ramiro Sanchez collected the other four CU shots.
Kyle Thomas finished the game with six saves for the Tigers.
Campbellsville (7-8-2, 2-3-1 MSC) will close out its regular season Tuesday, Oct. 25 at home against No. 2 Lindsey Wilson College at Finley Stadium. The game, which will also be Senior Night, is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, following the women's game against LWC.
