Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- One team built a five-game win streak Monday, while another saw a five-game run get slammed shut, as Campbellsville University ran past West Virginia Tech, 76-65, in the Powell Athletic Center.
 

Dennis Harris popped the lid off the Tigers' basket in the first two minutes, scoring nine-unanswered points. The former LSU Tiger used a pair of dunks and drained a 3 as part of the run to spark student section chants of "L-S-U, L-S-U" and "Dennis...Harris". The quick start grew to a 15-0 lead for Campbellsville before Tech scored its first basket six and a half minutes into the game. Harris scored 11 of his 15 points for the game in the first few minutes.

The lead stretched to 21 points, 29-8, with 6:55 to play in the opening half. After that, Tech whittled the difference to 16 at the half, 37-21. Campbellsville never let the lead slip more than a few baskets at a time.

WVU Tech could not get any closer than a five-possession game until cutting the lead to 11 points with 17 seconds to play.

The game remained as a physical battle with 47 personal fouls and 55 free throw attempts between the two teams.

Cedric Henderson led Campbellsville with 18 points and fell short of a potential triple-double with seven rebounds and seven assists. He led all three categories, along with a team-best four saves. Reggie Smith followed Henderson and Harris with 11 points.

Josh Proctor led all scorers and Tech with 20 points, while Donald Robinson had 11 points for the Golden Bears.

Campbellsville (5-1) will host Life University in the Lou Cunningham Classic on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. The Lou Cunningham Classic will begin Friday at 7 p.m., with Lindsey Wilson College facing Life in Powell Athletic Center.
