ROME, Ga. -
Morgan Bullock's single in the eighth inning scored two runs and earned Campbellsville a 4-2 win and a split of games on the first day of the Shorter University Softball Invitational.
CU's win came over Milligan College after the Tigers left 11 runners stranded in their first game against Reinhardt, leading to a 2-1 loss.
In Game 1 against Reinhardt, Campbellsville tied the game 1-1 when
Bailey Dillender homered in the fourth after Reinhardt had taken a 1-0 lead off a CU error in the third.
Courtney Turpin was the hard-luck loser, giving up only three hits. CU had five hits in the game, four singles by
Emma Napier,
Kacie Vincent,
Jennifer England and
Jordan Cornett to go along with Dillender's home run.
In Game 2, CU was up 2-0 in the third when
