Box Score 2 CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University extended its win streak to five games and took top spot in the Mid-South Conference West Division on Friday with a doubleheader sweep of rival Lindsey Wilson College at Tiger Baseball Field.

Campellsville used a three-run third inning to jump out on the Blue Raiders early in a 4-3 game one victory and followed with a 1-0 pitchers' duel win.
Anthony Rossetto patiently drew a one-out walk. Luke Hawkins, courtesy running for Rossetto, advanced to second on a ground out by Michael Caleb and on to third on a single by Rylan Chin to put runners on the corners with two outs. Danny Lapchak loaded the bases after being hit by a pitch to set up a three-RBI double to deep left-centerfield by Gabriel Arcoleo. Arcoleo also had a single in game two to lead CU's offense in the doubleheader with two hits.
Sean Bouthilette allowed only three base runners through the first five innings, all off hits. But the former Kentucky Wildcat was worked in the sixth. After walking two of the first three batters, Bouthilette saw his lead ripped away with a two-out, three-run homer by Ryan Williams. He followed the home run with a single, but worked out of the inning with a ground ball to short.
In the bottom of the sixth, Trent Seamons singled to lead things off and then stole second. He scored on a one-out double by Michael Caleb to regain the Tigers' lead.
Andrew Shoemaker closed the game in the seventh. After the Alex Harper singled with one out, Shoemaker got a pair of ground balls for his first save as a Tiger.
In the second game, Rusty Devitt went the distance for a one-hit shutout of the Blue Raiders. Devitt allowed only two Lindsey Wilson base runners on a two-hit single in the first by Jeff Kerian and a one-out walk in the third by Garrett Helm. Derek Cape also went the distance, allowing only three Tiger hits and three walks. Devitt struck out nine. Cape fanned six.
CU broke up the pitchers' duel shutout in the fifth with a leadoff single by Aaron Schowebel, who later scored on a bases-loaded sac fly Jameel Ziadeh .
Arcoleo's two hits led CU, followed by a hit each by Caleb, Lapchek, Ziadeh, Seamons and Rylan Chin in game one. Schowebel and Craig Edwards joined Arcoleo for the three hits in the second game.
Campbellsville (10-9, 5-2 MSC) will host Lindsey Wilson (13-10, 5-3 MSC) in another MSC doubleheader Saturday at 3 p.m. EDT at Tiger Baseball Field.
