CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville scored three runs in the third
inning against Madonna and it held up for a 3-2 win Saturday in the
first game for Campbellsville in the CU-LWC Classic. But they couldn't
manage a sweep, dropping a 3-0 decision to Montreat.
Bailey Dillender knocked in two runs in the first game with a single and
Kacie Vincent plated another run as the Lady Tigers improved to 8-17.
Seven hits were recorded by the Lady Tigers, with Vincent collecting two and one each by
Jordan Cornett,
Becca Cook and
Jennifer England.
Martina Riney got the win with four innings of three-hit pitching.
Courtney Turpin pitched the final three innings and did not allow a hit.
In game two CU managed only two hits, one each by

Taylor Wroe, who gave up two of the runs, suffered the loss, allowing four hits.
The Lady Tigers conclude Classic play Sunday with a double header against Reinhardt, first game starting at 11:00.
