Box Score 2 CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Pitching reigned supreme for Campbellsville University on Friday as the Tigers strengthened their Mid-South Conference West Division lead to four games with a sweep of Georgetown College, 3-2 and 3-1, at Tiger Field.

Sean Bouthilette (5-2, 5-0) remained unbeaten in conference action as he went the distance for the game one victory, while Rusty Devitt moved to 2-2 on the year and 2-1 in MSC action with six innings of work in game two.
Both pitchers collected their run support with three-run second innings.
In game one, Campbellsville had the bases loaded and one out in the second, when Tony Rossetto singled to left to score Jameel Ziadeh and Michael Durham. Ryan Chin followed with a two-out single to score Aaron Schwoebel for the home team's final run.
Georgetown scored its first run of the day in the third inning on a two-out, RBI single by Tyler Black, which score Randy Guite. The visiting Tigers threatened in the sixth, scoring one on a Brian Smith RBI and loading the bases with two outs. Bouthilette got an infield pop-up to third to escape the inning.
Campbellsville had insurance opportunities in the third, fourth and sixth, but stranded six runners in the three innings combined.
Bouthilette allowed only one earned run off five hits and two walks. He struck out three.
In the night cap, CU once again put up a three-spot in the second, as Ziadeh led off the inning with a single and scored on an RBI double by Durham. After Trent Seamons bunted Durham to third, Gibby Briones drove in the Tigers' second run and reached safely on an infield squeeze. Michael Caleb later drove in Briones with a two-out single to give Campbellsville its 3-0 lead.
Devitt held Georgetown at bay until the top of the sixth. Tyler Layton, who led Georgetown with a 2-for-2 game, scored the only run for the visitors on an RBI ground out by Fisher. Devitt struck out six and allowed one earned run off three hits in his six innings of work. Fisher and Smith also had two hits on the day for Georgetown.
Drew Pettit recorded his third save of the season after allowing one hit in the seventh, but fanning the other three Georgetown hitters.
Offensively, Chin and Durham led the Tigers with three hits each in the doubleheader, while Ziadeh had a two-hit performance in the second game. Arcoleo also had two hits on the day.
Campbellsville (19-11, 13-3 MSC) and Georgetown (20-18, 10-8 MSC) will meet again Saturday for a MSC West doubleheader at 1 p.m. ET at Tiger Field.
