Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Playing at home was the key Campbellsville University men's soccer needed to unlock it's scoring for the 2011 season. Hosting Mountain State University for its first home game of the season Wednesday, Campbellsville out-shot the Cougars 22 to 9 en route to an 8-1 victory at Finley Stadium.

The eight goals were the most of the season for the Tigers, eclipsing CU's previous five-game total of seven goals.
Ramiro Sanchez struck first for CU in the third minute when he intercepted a shot by Jordan Adams with a quick touch into the back of the net at the far post. The junior from Cali, Colombia found the net again, this time on an assist from Emmanuel Nfor for a 2-0 Campbellsville lead in the 16th minute. Adams added a goal in the 19th minute to tie the Tigers' single-game, season-high in less than 20 minutes of play. Alen Karapandzic had the assist.
Before the half, Mario Renteria scored his second goal of the season on an assist from Drew Sin.
The Cougars' only goal slipped past the Tiger defense at the foot of Rafael Borgess in the 20th minute.
Adams scored again in the 66th minute, rebounding and heading in a shot previously blocked twice by Mountain State keeper Ricard Romero.
Andy Orr added his magic touch in the 76th minute with a ricochet corner kick off the far post for the Tigers' sixth goal. It was the first of his collegiate career. Gustav Carlsson and Chris Craven also added their first varsity career goals in the 87th and 89th minutes, respectively. Trevor Jarvis recorded the assist on Craven's goal.
Aaron Steele recorded his first win in goal with four saves. Romero had seven saves for Mountain State.
Campbellsville (2-4-1) will open Mid-South Conference play Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. ET as it plays host to Shawnee State University at Finley Stadium.
