No. 20 Tigers fall to No. 11 Lindesy Wilson, 71-65

Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University's four-game win streak in the Highway 55 rivalry came to an end Thursday night in front of a capacity home crowd, as No. 11 Lindsey Wilson College used second half runs to beat the 20th-ranked Tigers, 71-65.

The game was controlled by large scoring runs by both teams. The Tigers were the first to string together a run, posting a 10-0 run early in the half to go up 12-2. The lead grew to 11 points, 15-4, before Lindsey Wilson scored eight straight to even the score at 15. CU managed to hold onto its lead most of the first half, ending the half with a six-point lead after a 3-pointer by Bryton Taylor.

Lindsey Wilson started the second half with a four-minute, 10-2 run to take the lead. Chase Cox connected on back-to-back 3s before Kalen Kimberland gave the Blue Raiders a 37-35 lead on a fast break. He finished the night with a team-high 19 points.

Jordan Myers ended CU's drought with a 3-pointer to put the Tigers in front 39-38, but the lead was brief. Kalen Kimberland countered with a 3 to spark another 10-point run. The 22-9 out pouring by LWC in the first 10 minutes of the second half was fueled by seven Tiger turnovers. LWC shot 75 percent during the stretch, while CU fell cold at 25 percent.

The Tigers rallied in the final two minutes, cutting their deficit to single-digits as Henderson took over the game. The senior point guard scored 11 of his 25 points in the final 2:10 of the game, but the run was too late for the Tigers. Lindsey Wilson connected on 10-of-12 free throws during the same stretch. Most of the free throws were by Chase Spreen, who scored 16 for the Blue Raiders. Wesley Hanspard had 11.

Once again, Henderson was close to a triple-double for the Tigers, securing nine rebounds and eight assists with his game-high 25 points. Justin Ennis and Reggie Smith followed Henderson's lead with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Campbellsville (13-6, 2-5 MSC) will host the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
