LEXINGTON, Ky. - Campbellsville finally got some swimmers off the injured list and competed Saturday in a swim invitational at Transylvania University.
The 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team (
Kathleen Ewing,
Carrie Wohlschlegel,
Brooke Cato and
Alison Lee) finished first in the time of 1:54.18.
"I was really excited for our 200 free relay," said Coach
Casey Smith. "I thought we all swam well, but Carrie's leg in the relay was some of her best swimming of the year and Brooke's free leg in the 200 medley relay make me hopeful that she'll make a national cut time real soon."
CU had five swimmers in the 50-Yard Freestyle, taking three of the top four spots.
"Our first place in the last relay was a really great way to end the meet," said Smith. "We pulled together today, looked after each other and worked hard."
